Tête des Saix to Lac de Gers – Samoëns

By taking the Grand Massif and Chariande Express lifts you can quickly reach the top of Samoëns from where you can start a number of tremendous hikes. We decided on a loop track walk that had been recommended to us by some guests from earlier in the summer.

From Tête des Saix at just over 2,100m we followed what would be the blue runs of “Silice Malice” (downhill) and “Dolomie” (long slog uphill) across to Les Grands Vans where we found a flock of sheep waiting for the lift to open!

As part of continuing to explore the Samoëns area we took a 2 hour walk from Lededian up to the Lac de Gers (1544m), one of the many alpine lakes in the Grand Massif region.
